STUDENTS'   TESTIMONIALS 2023

  • English is the common thread that binds all other subjects. It is not only one of the toughest subjects of the ICSE board exams but also the only compulsory subject in the best of 5 percentage. I am extremely fortunate to have gotten the opportunity of studying under Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am. Every English lecture was a joy, with Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am's sense of humour. Though, they both are dynamically different, as a pair, they cover every aspect of the subject. They made the two English lectures of the week the most enjoyable classes, the only ones I attended right till the end. The prelim papers we solved in class, in the final months before the board exams, contributed immensely as it gave us a better grip of the subject. The 24 hour helpline "there for you" was true to its name as the hours before the board exam are when all the doubts suddenly pool in and you begin to panic. This was beautifully handled by Kripa Ma'am, Vikram Sir and the VEA staff. It was due to this, that I could go for the board exams in a relatively relaxed and confident state, which plays a huge role in writing a good paper.
Of course, I cannot forget the learning experience as a whole – an entire two years of endless efforts by Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am. The long tedious chapters of the treasure trove were broken down and simplified by Kripa Ma'am, as she mixed in small anecdotes and debates in the class. Not only, did she guide us within the four walls of the classroom, but she also taught us small knacks for easy revision, by making the longest chapters go by in a blur. Further, Kripa Ma'am guided us aptly for the formats for notice, e-mail and letter writing, which require perfection of minute details. Vikram Sir taught us MOV throughout grades IX and X and he made the seemingly complex book, seem a piece of cake. The Shakespearean style of English is initially hard to grasp but Sir simplified the language so that towards the end of 10th grade, we were comfortable with the language. At first glance, MOV seems boring and lengthy but Sir uncovered the puns and quick wit hidden in the lines which opened a whole new world. Vikram Sir taught us to fall in love with MOV, an idea that had seemed impossible before. Sir helped simplify the toughest concepts of English Language through the DJ VK remixes and endless practise. Sir's classes were always filled with jokes and laughter and were a pleasure to attend. I have made beautiful memories at VEA that I will keep with me forever. As I sign off a big thank you to everyone at VEA, especially Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am.

  • My experience and journey with VEA will be cherished and would be in my reminiscence for the rest of my life. The two years spent in the academy brought the best in me and helped me to achieve the dream score of a perfect 100 in English literature. This would not have been so effortless and straight forward without constant support and guidance of two ably experienced and best teachers – Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am. My journey at VEA was filled with learning, enjoyment, and laughter. Sir and Ma'am always used different ways to make lessons more interesting and interactive through presentations and songs for remembering rules of certain grammar topics.
I used to dread at the thought of reading MOV but Sir's way of teaching completely changed my perspective and made me understand even the intricate nuances hidden in the play. Kripa ma'ams unique way of teaching Treasure Trove made the topics very interesting. The notes which were provided to us were a blessing. Their frequent keyword tests, innumerable online grammar practice worksheets, reference essays on various topics in the portal, solving of prelim papers of all notable schools in Mumbai truly helped in the preparation for the board exams and brought the best in me and boosted my confidence even more.
The 24-hour helpline function was commendable. It was active throughout the night and Sir and Ma'am were patiently solving all the queries of students of all batches simultaneously. In fact, I got my doubts solved till the last minute I left for the exam. The motivation session 'Milestone' conducted by Vikram Sir was very inspiring and impactful. I am truly proud to be a student of VEA and would like to express my sincere gratitude towards Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am.

  • Well, I will try to summarise it all. The past 3 years were certainly a blast at VEA. We started off in 8th grade with online classes. I was not a student at that time, but little did I know that that was about to change. Vikramjit Sir and Kripa ma'am had a certain wonderful charm around things which allowed them to bring out a whole new self in every child. The classes had a learning aura around them.
Well that's that. Another huge pro over here, were the humongous amount of practice exercises we were given along with regular tests, numerous worksheets, ample homework for every vacation, etc. I also learned about a new and pretty unique concept of a 'There For You' Helpline, in which we could basically call Vikram Sir or Kripa ma'am for any sort of doubts right before the English ICSE Exams. The teaching pattern followed by both the teachers was amazing in a very suave style. The 'Milestone' Lecture by Vikram Sir also opened up every student's mind and taught how to approach any obstacle in every aspect of life. Never was there a moment when Vikram Sir did not have a jaunty joke or Kripa ma'am did not have a radical roast for any one of us. My dad had an old-school belief that it was next to impossible to get full marks in any Language, achieving this great feat gave me another chance to challenge my dad's beliefs and live up to my mom's expectations. Someday everybody achieves great heights in any field, but never will we stop to live the legacy of Vikram Sir and Kripa ma'am. I could go on writing but this too has to come to an end. There will be little things I might have forgotten to write about. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude for both the teachers and all the other staff who keep VEA alive and running every single day.

  • First things first, a heartfelt thank you to Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am for their constant guidance without which, achieving this amazing score would have been difficult. I remember myself looking forward to attending lectures scheduled even at 9pm, just because sir and ma'am made learning so much fun. I'd never imagined learning grammar could be something enjoyable until 'THE DJ VK' changed my mind. The timely key word tests prepared me thoroughly for attempting mov well in advance, helping me to concentrate on other subjects before the boards. Monthly Grammar Hammer, MCQ practices and other abundant study material gave me the perfect amount of practice and was a great help for last minute revision. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at the VEA, a core memory that will always be etched in my heart.

  • I remember the time when my mom asked me whether I wanted to join VEA when I was in the 9th grade. Not to be a braggart or anything, but English had always come easily to me and never been a struggling area whatsoever. I loved the subject and did well with it. However, I had no idea how my life was about to change when I joined Vikram's English Academy. My ninth classes were online and sitting through Kripa ma'am's lectures was always a delight! I loved it when we discussed our answers together because it always gave me insight on how to prepare better for forthcoming tests. I was held accountable for all my homework and my parents were always well informed of everything, which made them feel more relaxed and at ease with regards to how I was faring in the subject. As 9th came to a closing, I decided to give a shot at the entrance exam for the Scholar's Batch, the first ever of its kind! I would have never thought that I would get in, but I did! That feeling was magical and made me believe in myself. A year spent in the first ever Scholars Batch has made me realise a lot of things about myself and helped me gain confidence when it comes to academics. The consistent and genuine feedback given by both Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am made me feel at peace with what I was doing. I found new friends in the Scholar's Batch and VEA has always been such a comfort place for me. It never felt like a “tuition” that your parents forced you to go just so you could do well in school. Each and every class has been a learning experience for me and is a huge reason for my marks and where I stand today. I remember the time when one of my essays was uploaded on the website and the way it felt like such a huge accomplishment. Same goes for Grammar Hammer, which was so helpful (and an apt ego boost!). All the resources, source material, prelim papers practice and what not, is all nothing but a recipe for true ICSE gold! Everyone would always ask me, “Oh how is Scholars Batch different than the others?” Well to answer your question. We always had a lot of fun. We learnt, we enjoyed, we argued and we sure did conquer! Being in this very special batch made me feel awesome but it also challenged me to do better. It wasn't always about one-upping your classmates, but it was about doing your best. VEA ensures that it brings out the best polished version of you, and you always leave shining bright like a diamond.

Also, might I add, The Milestone lecture invoked something truly special in me. It made me think about various things and I remember discussing so many points that were talked about in the lecture, later with my friends. Hearing about Vikram sir's journey truly made me dare to dream!

Thinking about VK sir and Kripa Ma'am always manages to put a smile on my face. All the jokes and all the beautiful memories that come with said jokes are what makes VEA truly special. They truly are the superheroes of ICSE English and their grit, determination and dedication is truly an inspiration for me and so many others. The staff too, is efficient and always helpful. Studying at VEA and learning about the intricacies of MOV, following the paths of various stories listed in the Treasure Trove textbook was never boring. VEA truly makes learning a special and beautiful experience. If I could, I'd do it all over again.

  • 'Vikram's English Academy.... The last word in English, I had heard this name so many times from my seniors, and I was very excited to attend the first class of 8 th Standard. I remember it was online and we were taught Figures of Speech by Kripa Ma'am. What marvelled me was the fact that despite the class being online, Kripa Ma'am successfully connected with all of us, intellectually, emotionally and tickled our funny bone WHILE TEACHING US ENGLISH! So, class was not class, but more like 'a fun but fruitful interaction' between us and Kripa Ma'am. Vikramjit Sir, famously called VK Sir, is so far the best person I've ever met. Sir has not only guided us in English, but also guided us in 'life' as a whole. Sir's enlightenment sessions, like Milestone, his after class personal interactions, they were the turning point for me, because it motivated me to 'dream, execute, win'. And obviously, nobody can teach English like VK Sir, be it Merchant of Venice, or basics like clauses, VK Sir has got the tact to make it easier and fun. Merchant of Venice, which we all thought was boring, became so interesting and funny, all thanks to Sir. I was tensed how I would understand MOV in 9th standard, but then the first class of VK sir, made me feel assured that I was in the right hands. Sir's mimicry, Sir's easy but apt explanations, everything made MOV so easy! DJ VK was the best thing for us students, I still remember the songs and of course the concepts too! The tests and notes given, were the most beneficial and helped me score marks. The grammar book, the MOV and TT questions books, all of them were very beneficial for board questions and prelims, because it includes every sentence from every corner of the book. Looking at the other side of it all, Sir has taken a lot of efforts for us kids. And so, speaks the performance of his students. more than a teacher, he's a mentor, a father figure, I'd always look up to. I want to thank Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am for their continuous guidance, unconditional, infinite love and tremendous efforts. You've shaped me into an amazing human today and brought about a holistic development in me, sure enough to propel me forward in the future. 'Madam you have bereft me of all words. Only my blood speaks to you in my veins.' Thank You Sir and Ma'am!! I'd forever be grateful.

  • I had joined VEA when I was in 9th. Though most of the lectures were conducted online that year, Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am managed pretty well to delete all our misconceptions regarding English as a subject. To be honest, I was never confident about English since the very beginning but after having joined VEA, my journey was fabulous. All the efforts taken by Kripa ma'am and Vikram sir paid off! I had never expected such a fantastic score in English. In 10th, getting an opportunity to be in the 'Scholar's batch' and clearing the entrance test was a great experience. Making new friends, solving more difficult papers and being in a competitive company helped me a lot. The study material provided, the monthly Grammar Hammers, solving of school prelim papers, 24/7 helpline before the boards, the regular tests conducted, key word tests, doubt solving sessions, 'Milestone' and infinite support helped me a lot to prepare for the boards. If not Vikram sir, nobody else can teach the Merchant of Venice in such a great and easy way. Vikram sir is one of the most passionate and coolest teachers I have ever met and he will always be the best! All the songs of grammar and tricks to remember the rules can never go out of one's mind. Kripa ma'am is again the best complement to Vikram sir and both of them make a splendid duo. I always had a lot of fun in Kripa ma'am's lectures. I will never forget all those times she made me laugh and instilled confidence in me about literature. I will always be grateful to VEA, Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am for everything that they have given me. I will definitely miss every minute I have spent with them and all the memories etched. English could certainly not have been better for me. Thank you for everything!

  • I feel lucky to have had such amazing teachers guide me during 10th. Many call English a tough subject as only the best out of the best manage to achieve an excellent score. Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am made English a piece of cake. I can't recall a single dull moment during class. The OPP (Other School's prelim papers) and the 24/7 helpline really helped me a lot during the boards. Apart from academics we also had a lot of group discussions, debates, etc that gave us an insight into the real- world problems. I don't think that I could have achieved this success without their guidance. I am so glad that my parents chose this academy for me. The website also helped me improve my grammar and creative writing.

  • The two years I have spent at VEA have indeed been wonderful. Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am truly ignited our desire to learn more. Each lecture was a treat in itself.
Frequent tests boosted our spirit and confidence. The keyword tests were fun and effective. A few months before the Board Exams, we solved the Prelim papers of many reputed schools. These gave us an insight into the variety of questions that can be asked and how to efficiently deal with them. Additionally, their 24/7 helpline– There for you– was the cherry on the cake. The Milestone lecture motivated us and encouraged us to look at the big picture.
Vikramjit Sir incorporated music into grammar. This did not just help us in our Board Exams but will also help us in our future. The Merchant of Venice which seemed to be a frightening play was now beautiful and comedic. The characters felt alive and Vikramjit Sir managed to portray the true essance of the play in the most fun way imaginable. Kripa Ma'am explained every chapter in the Treasure Trove in an enthusiastic and fabulous manner.
What sets VEA apart from other coaching institutes is that they not only care about the students' performance in the Board Examinations, but also wish for their success in the future.

  • I am writing this testimonial to express my gratitude for the incredible support and guidance I received throughout the year. Throughout the year, in Vikram Sir's lectures, it never felt like a mere classroom lecture, but rather an immersive journey into the world of Venice. Your ability to bring the characters and their struggles to life was truly remarkable. Every time you discussed a scene or analyzed a character's personality, it felt as if I was an active participant in the story, witnessing the events right before my eyes. The discussions that we had in the classroom enriched my understanding of the play's themes and messages. All of us could see your true passion for the subject whenever you taught us. Sir, you truly are THE KING OF SHAKESPEARE and there is no better teacher than you, for MOV. Kripa Ma'am's class was a 'Treasure Trove' in itself, as she seamlessly transported us into the realms of imagination and emotion, into the many different stories and poems that she taught us. She effortlessly explained complex concepts and literary devices, making them accessible, and easier to understand and learn. She brought poems and stories to life through vivid explanations and discussions which were nothing short of magical. Whenever she taught us poems like 'The Patriot' Or stories like 'All Summer In A Day', she encouraged us to think critically and explore the deeper layers of meaning in each piece of stanza and paragraph. Once again, thank you, Kripa Ma'am, for being such an extraordinary teacher. It would have been impossible without you to grasp the hidden meanings and thoughts embedded in all these stories and poems. Ma'am, you truly are THE QUEEN OF POETRY & STORIES! The intensive practice that we had throughout the year as well as the Ten Prelim Papers of Other School (OPP) for both Language and Literature, gave me a massive confidence boost while writing the papers during the Board Exam. Sir made sure to discuss each and every Essay topic, Letter (both Formal and Informal), Notice, E-Mail and Grammar part in each of the Prelim papers. The study material that we had for both Language and Literature was especially useful, since many questions based on the text are usually never covered in the notes given by the school. The concept of 'There for you' Helpline is truly unique since there are a lot of last-minute doubts that pop up while revising one last time before the exams. Sir and Ma'am ensured that all our doubts were answered, irrespective of the time we asked them. All the doubts and questions were answered both in the form of text and voice call the entire night before the exam. I have always loved the English subject and have had a passion for it my entire life. This love for the subject and passion for it, was fuelled by Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am in 10th Grade. Of course, it would have been impossible to achieve such an excellent result without the support and guidance of these two legendary teachers. I wish I could relive this adventure, and re-learn all that you have taught me. And finally, a big Thank You, to Vikram Sir, Kripa Ma'am, and the entire staff at VEA, without whom this journey would not have been possible.

  • My two year journey at VEA has been a blend of marvellous and unthinkable experiences. Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am have always been there for us no matter what. The fact that English was never a concern for me in terms of comprehending concepts speaks loads about their dedication and passion towards the profession. One of the most fascinating things I encountered was their 24/7 helpline one day prior to the board examination. Isn't it crazy to think that both of them were there since 7 pm on the day prior to the examination to 7 am the next morning catering to doubts without resting even for a moment? And of course, we cannot ignore 'MILESTONE', the eye-opening seminar. Not only have they paved a path for the foundations of English but also for the foundations of me and all students as individuals. My second year at VEA was me entering the Scholars' batch. Prior to admission in the scholar's batch, I told Vikram sir I would not be changing my batch and would prefer to remain in my original school-oriented batch. After class, he spent 30 minutes explaining to me how scholar's batch was something that would mould me into a better world version of myself. I wasn't too happy to change my decision at that time, however, today I feel that listening to his advice was the best thing I could have done at that moment. The discussions about happenings around us, the bond I created with other students and the enthralling activities we played in the scholar's batch (Dumb Charades was the best hands down) is something I will cherish forever. VEA isn't just an academy that inculcates knowledge, it is an academy that inculcates a desire for betterment.

  • I attended Vikram's English Academy for coaching in English language and literature during 8th, 9th and 10th standards. Throughout these 3 years, Vikramjit Sir and Kripa ma'am put in a lot of efforts to mentor us. Regular tests like the 'Keyword Test' for MOV and the Grammar Hammer kept us on track. We were provided with more than enough study material through their website that had sample essays and letters, notes and grammar exercises. We were made to write several prelim papers which eventually prepared us for our boards. Learning at Vikram's English Academy was very conducive with humorous teachers who ensured that our experience was full of learning and fun. Vikramjit Sir's puns and Kripa Ma'am's stories about her nephew ensured that there was never a dull moment in the class. I cannot thank this wonderful institute enough for the support that they provided. They were available the whole night before both the papers to clear any last-minute doubts. On the day of the exam, teachers came to wish and encourage us at our school - I will never forget this gesture. Thank you very much Vikram's English Academy.

The notes provided were an immense help. Their interactive sessions, regular worksheets, monthly Grammar Hammer quizzes, Keyword tests, MOV videos, detailed prose and poetry presentations and the 24/7 helpline before the Board exam were the reason for my magnificent scores in the English Board Examinations. • My journey with Vikram Sir and Kripa Mam was really an incredible one. They prioritised the overall development of the child through a holistic approach to education and practical learning. Indeed, in VEA, I have cherished my life and perished my sorrows.
Really, I would say that the unique style of teaching Of Vikram sir and Kripa mam made me fall in love with Mov and Treasure Trove. Their constant motivation and guidance played a major role in bringing up this result. The numerous keyword tests, the entertaining songs by DJ VK, innumerable practice papers helped me prepare myself for the board exams. Their last-minute revision, Grammar Hammer touched every aspect which could be in our exams. Sir and Madam burnt the midnight oil in order to ensure that all the students are prepared in the best possible way. Additionally, they also enlightened us on various aspects of life in a wonderful session 'Milestone'. Sir and Mam not only taught us the bookish lessons but also made us learn life lessons. What I can say about VEA is it's a coaching centre which. bridges the gap between child's education and dreams. Both Sir and Madam are inclined towards supports, encouraging and motivating the student so that they can achieve their goals and aspirations. Today my heart screams gratitude and appreciation for all your efforts. You both are the best teachers I have ever seen in my learning journey.

  • My journey at Vikram's English academy was truly something to remember for the rest of my life. English has always been my favourite subject but scoring well in the language wouldn't have been possible without the phenomenal support from the wonderful teachers who were no less a backbone of the academy. The periodic keyword tests, MCQ's before exams and grammar exercises were undoubtedly helpful. Engaging in interactive methods of learning such as Merchant of Venice dumb-charades and debates are truly praiseworthy. Nonetheless, relentless efforts of Kripa ma'am and Vikramjit sir are something all students of this institution highly respect!

  • "A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with the desire to learn is hammering on cold iron" rightly describes the foundation of VEA. Sir ignites this fire of curiosity that drives us towards learning more. Learning online due to the pandemic was a challenge in itself but sir and Madam always ensured to have made the class fun, interactive and lively. Sir's way of teaching Mov made us realize the true essence of the dullest lines and the great punches as well as the countless hidden details throughout the play. The Milestone lecture conducted by sir not only motivated me but also showed me the reality of life and the true meaning of belief. Sir and madam truly burnt the midnight oil to ensure that every student is prepared to the best.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that I would get to ask all my doubts right before the board exam to my teachers. The 24/7 helpline which ran throughout the night truly boosted my confidence and made me feel that not a single doubt was left out. I entered the BOARD exam hall more confident than ever.
Their last-minute revisions and monthly grammar hammer tests touched every aspect of what could be there in our exam.
This class has so much more than learning to it, to which I dont think my words would ever be able to do enough justce.
It has truly been a blessing to study here at VEA. At the end of this journey, they are not only my teachers but also my friends, my mentors.

  • I have had the pleasure of knowing and being under the guidance of two very experienced and eloquent teachers - Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am. Two years in lockdown weren't easy, especially when we had to appear for our tenth board exams under extremely strenuous situations. Under their able guidance and supervision, frequent keyword tests, innumerable practice papers, Grammathon and 24/7 helpline is what helped me to prepare myself and score to the best of my ability. The set of impeccable results that they produce every year is the very proof of their experience and expertise. They helped and supported us throughout the journey. Additionally, they also enlightened us on various aspects of life in their 'milestone' session. DJ VK and the dashing & bubbly Kripa Ma'am will always remain in my memory. Sadly, all good things must come to an end and thus, with a heavy heart, we part. The two magical years I spent in VEA, laughing and learning, is a memory I will cherish in my heart for the rest of my life.

  • Vikram Sir and Kripa Mam are two teachers that I will forever be grateful for. I cannot even begin to explain how amazing both of them are and how lucky I was to learn from them. I joined VEA in the eighth grade. I had heard a lot about the both of them and had come to the class with high hopes. Kripa Mam and Vikram Sir definitely did not disappoint. My batch used to be late at night from 8 PM to 9 PM and no matter how tired I was after a long day, I still looked forward to attending the lectures because the energy with which Kripa Mam and Vikram Sir taught us, was contagious. It lifted my mood every time I walked into the class.
Kripa Mam is without a doubt one of my most favorite and adored teachers. I love the way she teaches and I admire her as a person. In the eighth grade, the novel we had was called 'The Wizard of Earthsea' and that book is a tedious book. However; Kripa Mam made learning that book bearable. No matter how boring I found the book, she made sure that I understood and enjoyed learning every single sentence of it. I will never stop talking about the fact how Kripa Mam actually broke her keyboard while typing 100 pages worth of notes for the horrendous novel. Kripa Mam is the reason I love literature today. The passion with which she taught us all the proses and poetry sparked my interest in literature. She is the reason that I enjoy and love the poems and proses that I love right now. I would like to appreciate the fact how Kripa Mam conducted her lectures even when she was sick with Covid. I could see how low she was through the screen but she still taught with the same enthusiasm and she impressed me that day. I am beyond grateful for the help Kripa Mam has given me with my skills in grammar over the course of three years. Studying with her has been a wonderful experience. All the times she's made us laugh in class are etched into my memory and I wish I could turn back time and learn from her all over again. I cannot express my gratitude, my love, how much I'm going to miss her and how great of a teacher she is, through words.
I wish that I could have learnt from Vikram Sir offline in the grades ninth and tenth. The way he taught us online was amazing and I can't even imagine how much better it would have been offline. Learning the Merchant of Venice from Vikram sir has without a doubt, been the most awesome learning experience of my life. He made me love the play! He brought every single character to life and explained with such passion that I still remember the book, from word to word, even today. In class I never knew if his jokes were accidental or intentional but they made me laugh EVERY single time. I Think I speak for every student when I say that the way he teaches is beyond excellence. He made learning grammar concepts very fun by turning them into songs. I remember almost every line of Waka Waka: the Tenses version, and the Illegal Weapon: Clauses Remix was legit the best. DJVK is/was and will be the best singer/songwriter ever! I am grateful for him. I will never forget him. He is one teacher I wish everybody could learn from.
VEA did such a wonderful job while switching from off-line classes to online classes. They taught with the same enthusiasm and passion as they did offline and it didn't even seem like there was a digital barrier. VEA as an academy, is a stunning one. They have made sure that English becomes one of our strongest subjects. They did this by teaching wonderfully along with giving us perfect study material, by making us read more than 200 sample essays, by practicing one 60 grammar worksheets, by having MCQ exams, revisions, doubt clearings, keyword tests and solving over 20 prelim papers before the board. They have a helpline called “There for You” which functions a day before the English paper. It is active throughout the night (24 hours) and students can text their doubts on WhatsApp or call them for doubt clearing, at whatever time they please. This is one thing that makes VEA stand out. Towards the end of the year, Vikram Sir conducts a milestone session. Before attending it, I thought would be just like every other motivational talk, but it wasn't. That one and a half hour was eye-opening and I'm so glad he conducted it. I admire what VEA does, and the way they do it. But, as they all say, “all good things must come to an end” and with a heavy heart I bid VEA, adieu. I had the most wonderful experience learning from them. I'm going to miss them and I'm grateful to them.

  • I would like to express my appreciation towards Kripa Ma'am and Vikramjit Sir for the commendable job they did with the 'Online Classes'. It truly was a new adventure for both the students and their teachers. Amid social distancing and stay home orders, teachers have turned out to be the real superheroes for our children.
Preparing lessons, imparting the best of learning and at the same time maintaining discipline by keeping them engaged, all this without being physically present, calls for the highest appreciation. During the online sessions each and every student was given a chance to speak and express themselves, and more importantly all the feedback was handled positively.
I am very happy and thankful for the stupendous amount of effort put in to mitigate the challenges during the lockdown. My daughter always looked forward to the classes and enjoyed it even more when the physical classes started.
I really appreciate the fact that focus is not just on finishing the syllabus but also ensuring that each kid is learning properly. I am really grateful to Kripa ma'am and Vikramjit Sir for all the support and guidance that they have given throughout these years. I sincerely thank them for making my daughter enjoy English and giving her the confidence that it too could be a scoring subject.

  • I am highly grateful and privileged to have studied English Literature and Grammar at VEA institute. Literature and Grammar would never have been so easy without constant support and guidance from Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am.
I have been studying at this institute since my 8th grade and every class has been memorable. I had a great time at VEA which was filled with enjoyment, learning and laughter. The in-depth and creative explanations and the vast question bank given for each chapter ensured that I knew the lesson inside out. Literature, especially Merchant of Venice could never be so captivating and mesmerizing. The engaging songs given to remember grammar rules, key word tests, the fun filled interactive debate and creative writing sessions, were truly unique and innovative. The timely tests and prelims conducted ensured my syllabus was over beforehand and I had sufficient time for revision. The plethora of grammar practice, paper discussions of other schools, doubt solving sessions along with a deep and magnificent pool of sample letters, notices and essays enabled me to move towards excellence. Even our essays and letters would be uploaded on the website which further encouraged us to sharpen our writing skills. Not to forget their 24-hour helpline 'There for You' was a relief and allowed me to give both my boards while being as cool as a cucumber. Even the online sessions were very interesting and never missed the essence of an offline class.
Even outside the academic sector, Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am have helped me evolve as a person. The motivation session 'Milestone' conducted, life lessons shared by them and their passion for the subject have indeed been very inspiring. VEA has made my English base strong which will surely help me get through competitive exams SAT, GRE TOFFEL, etc. I feel very confident with English now and under them I have learnt to read between the lines and truly fall in love with English Language and Literature. Thank you, Vikramjit Sir and Kripa ma'am for everything!

  • It's not often that you come across a teacher who has such a humongous amount of commitment towards the subject they teach. Teachers who are driven to teach by sheer passion. And to think I would find not one but two of them in the same place is mind-blowing. The evergreen pair of Vikram sir and Kripa mam always brightened up the day and the VEA lectures were something I looked forward to at the start of every week and thus I would like to appreciate their efforts in a plea to maybe bring a smile to their faces which might be comparable to the innumerable smiles they have brought to mine.
Kripa mam was the wildcard and the perfect complement to Vikram sir. Her free and bubbly personality fit her teaching like a glove. Her style of teaching has always set her apart from the other teachers. Mam was always a friend before a teacher and we students were always open to her about anything. Often times she would start lectures with an anecdote and she would segway into the topic as seamlessly as a duck takes to water. Her way of teaching grammar was full of examples that not only helped understand the concept but worked to remember it as well. She would make the run-of-the-mill descriptive stories that would become dull over time into the most vivid of tales. In such a way, Kripa mam developed a deep bond with all her students and became the best friend everyone needed. At one point, Kripa mam got to know us so well that she would almost perfectly predict the kinds of questions we would ask and research up about it beforehand.
Though Kripa mam had been in touch with us longer, Vikram sir came in like a meteor and blew everyone away. He left just as lasting an impact on us if not more. I heard the deeds before I could meet him and his first full lecture truly justified whatever I had heard up to that point. Vikram sir would try to cram every bit of information in a blender and the product would be a lecture that was filled to the brim with extra information about the topic and clever tongue-in-cheek references for every step of the way. One of the most memorable discussions that I remember having with Vikram sir was one that came in near the end of year when sir tried to encourage us to read more English poetry. Some of the poets he mentioned during those 15-20 mins have stuck with me.
On the topic of discussions, Vikram sir had what was on one of the most important discussions of our lives during the Milestone seminar. That evening was definitely one for the future and it would be difficult to find one as impactful as that one. The milestone seminar covered very common topics and ones we had heard ample of times before but this one was different. The addition of instances from sir's own life added a very important element that had been missing whenever we had had such a conversation before.
The milestone wasn't only extra step that VEA took for the students. The many extra revision lectures and the doubt clearing sessions that were conducted helped retain the concepts.
The exam period was a hectic time but VEA was with us at every step. The special paper solving sessions that were conducted towards the end of the year ensured that we had enough points to write about regardless of what was thrown at us in the paper. One of the special features at VEA was the 'There for you' 24-hour helpline that ensured no doubt was left untouched.
VEA also conducted special keyword tests for us in addition to the normal tests. These helped us remember the lines from MOV and keep in mind the many different meanings connected to them.
To say the least, VEA took a lot of steps to ensure maximum comfort for their students and to ensure that English was never the exam we were underprepared for.
I came into VEA as a student who never thought about English twice and one treated it as just another language but I leave VEA entranced by the captivating magic English holds in store. VEA was not just a place. It defined a time period.

  • My first offline lecture at VEA started with my fellow classmate saying "Sir you're very terrifying". The laughter that had followed was sizeable given the fact that terrifying was the last word any of us would've used to describe sir.I remember sitting in that classroom during the same lecture gawking at Vikramjit sir and Kripa ma'am fighting mid lecture over a cup of coffee which sir had described as his favourite one and had now taken offence at finding the same cup being used by his fellow colleague. That lecture had truly been an experience. It was funny it was insightful it was warm and it was just perfect. Learning Shakespeare had never been better. The only thing terrifying in the whole ordeal would be the thought that covid protocols may be brought back and we would again be confined to the monotonous walls of our bedroom. The same walls in which I found a sense of comfort in being would now feel like a barrier between me and an offline lecture at VEA. A joy snatched away but the pandemic:)
Attending class was not simply being present anymore. It was so much more than that. The constant jokes, the memories, the fake scenarios sir and ma'am had delicately crafted , the raps I wrote to learn grammar, the smiles, the rapid fire questions, Dj VK, the monthly grammar hammer, the poha story, Antonio being a relatable sad person, the friends, the movie, the sheer joy that 1 hour , two days a week would provide is not something I can convey in words at the moment. If I were to stroll down the memory lane at any point in my life, I am confident enough TO KNOW that down this brightly coloured street I'll walk, there will always be one bench. One bench where I'll always find Vikramjit sir and Kripa ma'am sitting and smiling at me along with all the memories I have made in the past year at the academy. Coming from a marathi family, One would this of poha as a typical breakfast or guest food. But whenever i hear the word poha I cannot help but let out a few giggles remembering Kripa ma'am's hate for the dish. The story everyone at class most surely remembers.
Whenever I write essays, I often felt myself unconsciously or consciously putting in more effort, more thought, more emotions and more senses because of VEA. The joy I had felt when I saw my essay uploaded as a reference essay is unfathomable.I was proud of myself and proud of what I had written. The validation that I received over the fact that sir and ma'am considered my essay good enough to guide others was overwhelming.I appreciate it so much because I grew confident. In my writing. I enjoyed writing. I found myself falling in love with the intricacies Of grammar, the maze of adjectives and descriptions, the jumble of words and the sweet touch of my personal humour.Whenever we wrote essays, not only did sir give us the time to let our creativity flow but also let us read out what our minds had conjured on that sheet of paper. Learning what others had thought in the same topic and how different could that simple question be interpreted. One would think this was enough but no. Sir also took out the time to give his own thoughts and guidelines. He would give us ideas and additions and twists and conflicts that none of us had even considered. We would listen in what would closely be described as awe at the examples sir would give and the conviction those words held.
Whenever I think about Kripa ma'am, whenever I think about Vikramjit Sir, it's like I automatically have this smile on my face. A smile that reaches my eyes and warms my heart because that is how much I adore them. They have been more than teachers or mentors.More than a simple I'm going to help you get through English. They were like our very own fairy godmothers in our Cinderella like tale of ICSE :). I still recall how not once, not twice but over a span of lectures how Kripa ma'am or Vikramjeet sir would tell me how lovely my smile was. Once when I had been ill and was hardly getting through the lecture, I remember Vikramjit Sir stopped talking mid-way and immediately ask Saachi are you okay. You seem a bit down today. Missing your usual smile. It had not even been 10 minutes into the lecture and he had noticed amongst the batch of 20-30 so students he had noticed one of his students not feeling well. He had been concerned and that truly is more than enough to show just how caring a teacher he had been to all of us. Kripa ma'am and her somehow functioning laptop was a sight we often greeted during her online lectures. The complaints about the piece of technology broke the ice before every lectures which ended with us not only enjoying but understanding the chapters taught to us in the best way possible. Despite having so many students, not once do I remember either of them forgetting a name. The amount of personalized and overall attention they would pay to each and every student is utterly remarkable. I have truly fallen for English and even more so I have fallen for this journey that I took while I was at VEA. And with that I shall end this for I could go on for pages and pages and yet not have conveyed how much I truly appreciate Vikramjit sir & Kripa ma'am and the entire staff for providing me with a chapter in my life's book. A chapter which I wish would not have ended.

  • I feel a sense of void as my journey with VEA is coming to an end. Studying the nuances of the language with Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am has been extremely convivial. The unique songs, endless tests & the support and love that Vikram Sir and Kripa Ma'am shower upon us, complete half the task. The other half is completed by their immense hard-work and dedication with which they addressed each and every student. Even Covid-19 could not dampen their spirits. When the entire world was in a lockdown, they conducted online lectures, making them more fun and informative. They always made it a point that they were available at all times for the students. No matter how trivial a doubt, they always addressed it. Our batch was the first to have MCQ type questions in Semester 1. The ceaseless online tests made me a maestro at those too. The helpline "THERE FOR YOU" was a blessing, where I recall sir and ma'am answering to the doubts even at 3 a.m. in the morning on the day of our board examination. “Milestone” was another session where they motivated us to work hard not only in English but at every point in life. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget them or their lessons. Sir always said that our lectures would have been more fun if we were present offline, but I argue that it would have been the same. Because once you have the best, you can't make it any better!

His innovative style of teaching and all the entertaining songs helped us remember our grammar during the board exams. I was anxious about learning Merchant of Venice, but after the very first class, I started looking forward to it. Kripa ma'am always taught Treasure trove in a unique way that made this topic very interesting. During the pandemic, both Vikram sir and Kripa ma'am spent hours making presentations with word meanings, photos and funny references to the topics. Their 24-hour helplines one day before the exams were of great help. VEA made learning English fun and pushed me to achieve my target goal in the board exams

Their approach to teaching has been student centric and collaborative. The new pattern which was introduced in the first semester was addressed efficiently and effectively. We were given ample practice sessions and the tips shared by the faculty before the boards really helped us in the preparation for the exams. Your coaching and support have really helped us tackle some of the challenges with respect to online teaching and the new exam format. Thanks a lot sir and ma'am for giving equal attention to every student in the batch. Without your support I wouldn't have achieved the results I had. Your contributions to my success will always be deeply appreciated.

  • My experience with VEA is filled with mixed emotions, elated as I scored 99% in English and stood topper in ICSE board, and sad as will miss the interactive sessions with Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am. I joined VEA classes in 10th and my performance in English has vastly improved and credit goes to the well architected structure of exams, keyword tests and excellent study material available online. This time it was a bit challenging due to the pandemic situations where most classes were held online but Sir left no stone unturned in delivering quality teaching. We even had to attempt two board exams and I was able to consistently score well due to the support extended by the tutors. "An Excellent tutor is one who goes above and beyond to ensure that his students are well equipped with the materials being taught in class", these words rightly describe Vikramjit Sir & Kripa Mam. Their enthusiasm has made the lectures more interesting and livelier. I personally had this unique experience where VEA had provided with 24/7 helpline, before the exams, which was reassuring and extremely helpful. I would like to express my gratitude to Vikramjit Sir & Kripa Mam for the role they played in helping me achieve this milestone

  • My experience at Vikram's English Academy was indeed wonderful. The songs made by DJ VK (Vikramjit Sir) for remembering rules of certain grammar topics, the heated debate sessions, activities focused on writing skills, and various other sessions had made the experience unforgettable. Even in the dreary atmosphere of the pandemic, the unique methodologies adopted by the teachers made the learning experience very fun and interesting. The most favourite thing about Vikram's English Academy is that Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Ma'am are always willing to help and clear our doubts at any time of the day. They also ensure that each child gets proper attention and guidance. Vikram's English Academy is different from the others by the fact that they not only work for the result but also for the successful future of students. I owe my success to the regular doubt solving sessions and keyword tests. Moreover, the milestone lecture proved to be a life changing point in my life, it paved the way towards success. Starting from the prose and poetry of Treasure Trove and Merchant of Venice to the challenging english grammar, everything felt so easy and enjoyable to learn. The keyword tests, songs made by dear sir for remembering rules of certain grammar topics, the interactive debate sessions, activities focused on writing skills, and various other sessions had made the experience cherishing and unforgettable. The comfort of knowing that the teachers are accessible, unconditionally for any of their doubts made this arduous journey easier. Words fall short, and a mere thank you would be undermining their enormous efforts.

Vikramjit Sir and Kripa Mam are the best example of this statement. Though English was a subject that I didn't like, they made it one of my favourite subjects. The way Sir taught made MOV super fun and lively. The key word tests made it very easy to remember MOV. The notes provided by the academy are more than enough and sufficient to fetch you 100/100 in Literature. A month before the boards we solved at least 10-12 prelim papers of the best schools in Mumbai which helped me a lot. The remix of songs made by DJ VK made it very easy to memorise grammar rules. Madam and Sir were available at all times to solve my doubts. Sir even cleared my doubt literally 15 mins before the board exams.
